Yopa! Yogurt

I love to talk food on this blog. I know I do not do it as often as I'd like, but it is a great topic to discuss as we have made many changes in our household in the past two years. Eating healthy and learning about the importance of a well balanced diet is something that is important to me, and something that I am always striving to be better at. I cannot say that I am perfect, as I too love my share of sweets and snacks, but overall I try to set a good example for me children as Elliana, for one, is becoming of age where she understands what her mama is eating and what she is eating. So if I expect her to eat well, should I not also be doing the same?

Funny how parenting opens our eyes to a whole new world of experiences.

We just recently discovered greek yogurt this past year, because apparently we live under a rock, and I have been, what one may call, hooked on it since.

I was excited to be able to try out the new Yopa! Yogurt and test out the different flavors they had to offer. I chose blueberry and strawberry and they were the perfect pair. The thing that I look to pair my yogurt with is my granola, and the great part about Yopa! Yogurt is that it came with nine whole grain granola right there for me. It also paired well with fresh strawberries and bananas. And here is another little incentive, for all you chocolate lovers, some of the Yopa! Yogurts even come with dark chocolate. Yes, this is true.

I am looking forward to trying different flavors next time we hit the grocery store. What I really need to do is learn how to limit myself to just one a day.

Some things to mention about Yopa!:
  • A great source of protein, 3.5 oz cups containing 16% of the recommended daily value, and the 5.3 oz cups 26% of the recommended daily allowance.
  • Good source of calcium
  • 0g of cholesterol and trans fat
  • No preservatives or artificial colors {except for vanilla}
 Speaking of balance, gold medalist Gabby Douglas is an expert, and she's challenging you to take the Yopa! Taste Challenge where you can win a variety of prizes, including $10,000! Just "like" Yopa! on Facebook for a chance to win and to grab a coupon for $.50 (or more!) off one cup of Yopa! Authentic Greek Yogurt.

  I was selected for participation in this campaign as a member of Clever Girls Collective.

  1. I seriously wish I liked yogurt! My whole family loves it, but I just have never been fond of it. I recently learned that greek yogurt is something that is very good if you want energy. Guess I'll be sticking with my coffee.
