A Mama's dream to Read Her Child's Mind. Mine too.

Chelsea has been a sponsor of mine for the past 5 months or so, and to be honest with you, probably one of my favorite to date. And by that I mean, the easiest to promote. She always has great posts for me to read through and share with other readers {like yourself}, takes beautiful pictures, a mom like myself, and is just an overall sweet caring person. I have had so much fun getting to know Chelsea and her sweet family, and it is my pleasure to share with you all her beauty, inside and out.

I decided to ask her a few questions, and this is how she answered them:

1. How do you juggle it all? Being a mom, a student, and blogging at the same time? What is the key to your success?
It's not easy, that's for sure, but I seem to get this question a lot. The truth is, I really struggle with finding a balance and juggling all of those tasks. To keep it all together (the best I can anyways) I write lists galore, write everything down in my Erin Condren planner, and drink too much coffee!

2. What is your favorite thing to do with your daughter?

My favorite thing to do with my daughter is anything creative. She loves crafts and creating, so I really try and do crafts and activities with her as much as possible. She especially loved this coffee filter umbrella craft we did together and we'll definitely be making chalk paint again before the summer's end!

3. Tell us something many people don't know about you.

I never shower everyday. Ever! Some people probably thing this is disgusting, but I've been blessed with not-so-oily hair, so it works out. I live off of my can of dry shampoo in the mean time and rock the messy bun whenever possible. The whole process of showering (and being interrupted 53 times by a 3-year-old) and doing my hair everyday just does not sound appealing. And just so you don't think I'm extremely uncleanly, I do shower every other day at the very least!

4. If you had one magical power, what would it be?

To read my child's mind. Wouldn't that be a blessing for any mother out there? For example, when she's throwing a fit at Target and I honestly have no idea what ticked her off, I'd love the ability to read her mind, quickly fix the problem and suffer as little embarrassment as possible from onlookers. At this age it seems like anything can upset her and sometimes it's just a mystery!

5. Any advice for first time moms? What's the one thing you wish someone would have told you... or really expressed how important this or that is?

I wish someone would've told me that no new mother is perfect. You literally have no idea what you're doing those first couple weeks (or even those first couple of years) and I really struggled with this early on. I wanted to do everything right and never asked for help. ASK FOR HELP, there's no shame in that. No mother is perfect and every new mother is just learning and just starting out. We all have to start this crazy parenting journey somewhere! It's okay if you let your little one sleep on your chest one night so everyone can get some shut eye and it's okay if you pump and let daddy take over for a bit! It's okay, no new mother is perfect.

  3. I love all of these, but #5 is my favorite. As a soon-to-be first time mom, I am already worried that I will do everything wrong and screw up royally! It's nice to have some reassurance :)
