I'm going to do a little mini test here.
Raise your hand if you have a video monitor. Raise your hand if you wish you had a video monitor. Raise your hand if you've been thinking about getting one, however unsure of why you might need it?
So, I'm going to guess you raised your hand to at least one of those questions. Yes? I can see you, you know.
Here is thing, I have been there, I have done that. I was one of those people that with my first pregnancy thought that the idea of a video monitor was just that, an idea. How could I possibly watch my child while she is sleeping if I too am sleeping? What is the purpose? Is it worth the extra money? Well, lets just say it only took me 2 years to figure out the answers to these questions. And the answer is as simple as YES. Yes yes yes, you need this Becky.
And the wonderful people at Vtech allowed me the opportunity to change my title from noise monitor to video monitor mom. The Vtech communications safe and sounds full color video and audio monitor. They were generous enough to let me into the world of "watching your child through a screen." A world that I was clearly missing out on.
Today, I am going to tell you all why not only do you need to own the video monitor, but you should invest on a specific one. This one.
Some important product details for you to know:
-Split screen viewing system supports up to four total cameras to be viewed from one parent unit; Viewing modes include single view and quad view split screen to view 4 rooms at the same time
-Remotely communicate to your baby from the parent unit to the baby unit; Soothe your baby from another room or even from outdoors
-Infrared LED view your baby at night without disturbing them
-1,000 feet of range with superior digital transmission
-Rechargeable battery with low battery alert in parent unit
-Wall-Mountable Camera with Swivel, Tilt, and Zoom
-Graphics and Vibrations Signal Noise Level { In vibration mode, the monitor alerts you with gentle vibrations when your baby is fussing. }
Now lets cover our bases here for our personal experience, and start with shipping. I am a huge believer that a product should be expediated quickly to me. That if I am ordering something online, I'd like to be under the impression that it is in stock and ready to ship out to me. And that it will arive to me not only in a timely manner, but in good condition. Vtech? A+ on shipping. I received it within less
Next, lets talk about the actual product. One parent unit, two cameras. The reason that I wanted two cameras was because, although Elliana is older now, I still wanted to be able to watch her in her room to make sure she wasn't getting into any trouble during nap time or bed time. The other obvious reason is that we have a baby who will be here in a matter of weeks and I am miss-paranoid over here.
And let's now talk about how I insisted {greatly} that my husband install the system the night it came in. He was pretty hesistant at first, as he expected it to be a lot of work, but after much convincing and bribing, we headed upstairs to install the first unit.
I hate to even use the word install since the steps were literally as easy as 123. Plug this into here, that into there, place it here, and ta-da; you have yourself a little person security camera.
And if you thought that I was excited about this little contraption? You should have seen the husband's face. We had to mess around with all the functions, do a little "Walk-talkie" test {which Elliana thought was the coolest thing that we could talk to her while she was in the room}, turn off the lights and check out the quality {excellent}, and do split views between Elliana's room and the baby's room. Perfection. Another awesome feature? It can play music for them!! Which is always great at putting a little someone to sleep.
Overall, I could rave on and on about this monitor.
Now, granted, we have only had it for a month, and no we have not owned any other video monitors, but based off of our experience today, I would have to say that I would highly recommend this product to any mom out there in search of a video monitor. And an added little bonus? They are very well priced in comparison to other monitors!
You know me, nothing like getting a good product for a great deal!
And because you have heard me ramble on forever and ever, the lovely people at Vtech are also offering one of you lucky readers a chance to win a little goodie basket!
