One of my favorite things to do in life is be spontaneous.
Another? Random trips.
And one especially? Visiting family members.
And a couple of weekends ago we got to do all three!
You see, we have been talking about wanting to go to Cleveland all summer. In fact, we had planned to go in the middle of July. But on this one Tuesday in June I had texted Andrew from work and told him that I had that weekend off. Including the Friday and Monday. 4 days off.
He immediately inquired about getting Friday off as well from work. And to our surprise, his boss said yes!
So we called his uncle who lives in Cleveland and the date was booked. We would be visiting Andrew's family, which included his aunt, uncle, two cousins, and his grandma and grandpa who were visiting from Arizona for the summer. Talk about loads of family time!
And it was exactly what we needed. A mini vacation away from home. A five hour drive, however Elliana did so wonderful that she made it seem so easy. And well, the husband is a fabulous driver.
We spent the weekend swimming in the pool. Going to the Andrew's cousin's baseball game. Grilling out. And just relaxing.
I have to say, Elliana just soaked in the boys like crazy. Loved them. And they loved her also... absolutely inseperable. And of course I have pictures to prove it.
We can't wait to go back to visit again!
Picture overload coming right up.
