Well with little sleep, a very cranky toddler, and a husband who insists on "packing light"... I have managed to somehow jam our lives away into one too many bags for a week long family vacation trip.
Toothbrush. Check. Swimsuits. Check. Diapers. Check. Makeup. Check. Beach tent, towels, and mats. Check. Monitor. Check. Our whole life in one car. Check. Check. Check.
Did I get it all? I don't know. I sure hope so. Do I care anymore? Absolutely not. Because after all... there are plenty of stores by the beach where I can purchase over-priced everything.
And to think... I actually took the time to type up a list yesterday that has mysteriously disappeared.
Oh, and you probably are wanting to know what the other half of the title of this post means, right? Toddler escaping. No worries, she didn't actually escape from me or the house... just from her entrapment that we also like to call a crib. So, let's take a moment to talk about how my daughter today climbed out of her crib, opened her bedroom door with the round door knob, mind you, that she never could before, and proceeded to come to me and say "Mama, hey."
Mama, hey?! What do you mean hey. Hay is for horses! And shouldn't you be sleeping? And how in the world did you get out? And are you trying to tell me something? Do we need to talk?!
Needless to say... we will be toddler bed shopping the day we get back from vacation.
......oh help me, baby J.
Sounds/looks like you have everything! Now the main thing, have so much fun!! :) Love the letter about Carson... hope he behaves!
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny! I can't believe she's getting that 'growny' to climb out of her crib and nonchalantly walk up to you to say hey! Maybe she is making room for her little sister/brother?? She's just adorable:) And I have to admit my curiosity is piqued on what those veggie shredz are? Does E like them? I'm always looking for healthy snacks for Bella so I will have to keep my eye out for those.
ReplyDeleteI'm dreading the day Stella hops out of her crib. She'll be 2 in a month and I just can't bring myself to make the transition yet. :)
ReplyDeleteIf she's turning knobs, make sure you baby proof the front and back doors. I have a dead bolt already installed up higher than a chair can reach.
I'm so envious of your beach trip. Sadly, we have no beach remotely close to Indiana. I guess we could visit the drought ridden corn fields.
I love Annies organic!!

ReplyDeleteOh no, the climbing has begun. My son luckily hasn't attempted {at least I don't think} to climb out of his crib, but he is a climber. Yesterday was full of trying to find anything & everything he could climb on. He is a crazy boy!
