1. If you were searching for a home now, tell me what would be on your "MUST" list.
- Fence. I learned this the hard way the first time around. Next time? I will know better. You know how hard it is to chase a toddler while pregnant up and down the driveway as she continually insists on throwing balls down it? Yup. It would be nice to have a large backyard and a cozy chair to watch the kids play.
- A pool. Andrew and I have already discussed this, but our next home must have a pool. I had one growing up, and I think it would be great for the kiddos. Of course, I would have to have all the protective gear out there for this paranoid mama.
- 4 bedrooms+ 2 Offices. This is kind of key. Especially if we end up having 3 kids. We have the 4 bedroom part now, and have turned one of those into the office. But I would love to have separate office for both Andrew and myself. His would be more of a man room and mine would be my own personal space. I have crazy ideas in my head for it too.
- Large master closet. That is something we sacrificed this time around. We loved our house so much, that shockingly, I told the husband that closet space didn't matter to me. Oh no. I was wrong. Next time around? I'm going big. Grand.
- Basement. We have a crawl space. We need a basement. Especially when the kids become teenagers. Did I really just say teenagers?
I'll leave the list at five. Because in reality... it's endless. But those are the "musts."
3. If you could have any room redone, tell me which one would it be and what would you like done?
Our master bathroom. For sure. The thing about it... we are working on it right now. But due to budget reasons and because we don't want to overdo for the house, we aren't exactly doing everything that I would like and dream of doing. If someone else were to pay? Go for it! I would gut the whole thing, rip out our shower, put completely put in a tiled shower with two shower heads. New vanity. New mirror. New everything.
And if I had the space? It would definitely look like this below.
4.Tell me where your favorite stores are to shop for home decor.
My only store that I like to shop for home decor is Home Goods/TjMaxx. Honestly, I never go out to buy stuff anywhere else. Now, if I am out and see something at Target or the mall? Sure, I will pick it up. But otherwise if I have a project? I'm at home goods.
Now, online is a different story. I buy a lot of furniture pieces, pillows, and other random stuff online. Varying from amazon, to overstock, to ebay.
5.Show me your dream home {it can be your home as well}
I have a thing for white homes. And that entrance? Grande.... Clearly I know I won't live in one of these one day, but a girl sure can dream right? |
