Meet Melissa + $50 Anthropologie Gift Card Giveaway

Today, I have a really amazing lady on my blog, Melissa. She just gave birth to her second baby {TWO DAYS AGO} and is soaking in all of the newborn bliss. While she does that, I wanted to share a little Q&A that I did with her, as well as an opportunity to win a $50 Anthropologie gift card. Perfect. Right in time for the holidays!

Hi, I'm Melissa and I blog over at Honey DOs and I Love Yous.  I live in Florida and I've been married to the guy I fell in love with in high school for 5 years.  I was a financial analyst, but now I stay home with Kennedy, my 17 month old.  I'm also super pregnant and due in a few days with our second baby so I'm sure she'll be filling up a blog post or 10 soon enough!

1. What are you looking forward to the most with adding another blessing to your family?

I can't wait for Kennedy to have a sister.  My sister has been my best friend for as long as I can remember so I'm really excited to see Kennedy and her sister together and watch their relationship grow.

2. Tell us three pet peeves of yours?

- How cold stores and restaurants are {OK pretty much any public place}.  I would love to find the thermostat somewhere and change it one day!
- Pop up adds on my cell phone {it's so much worse than the computer because the screen is smaller and they're almost impossible to get rid of!}
- People that are rude or mean for no reason.  {It just gets to me and I'll think about it for the rest of the day}

3. Where do you see your life 5 years from now? 10?

In 5 years we might have 3 kids... MIGHT!  I think we'll probably be in another house, but we've had so many big changes the last year or so that I'm hoping for a little more smooth sailing for the next few years!  I hope that we're all happy and healthy and that's really about as much as I can ask for.

10 years is just crazy to think about for me. Kennedy will be almost 12 years old!  10 years from now just makes me feel old, too old!

4. If you could change one thing, what would it be.

If I could change one thing I wouldn't have gone back to work after Kennedy was born.  I guess if I never went back I'd always question the decision, but I miss all the time I missed out on with her for the 6 months that I did go back.

5. What are some tips to a successful marriage/relationship? How do you want your children to grow up viewing a relationship?

It takes 2, baby!  Sorry for the cheesiness, but you have to remember that there are 2 people involved and a successful relationship can't be based on your happiness alone.  A strong relationship will require sacrifices on your part... and the other persons, too!  You can't expect your husband, boyfriend... whoever to make all this effort if you aren't doing the same.
