Ask Me Anything

Image c/o The Siners Photography
It's probably been over a year that I have done a post where I opened this space up for questions. I know that I get questions emailed to me often {most of them are around the lines of... "when do you sleep..".... "what is nursing really like..." and "I'm a mom... and I had a question about this {blank}"}. Of course I get numerous of other questions emailed or left in comments. Majority of the time, I try to get back to those questions. But I would be lying if I said that sometimes I don't get behind, and that sometimes, well, unfortunately, they may not get answered.

So today, I open up this space for questions. Ask me whatever you'd like and then I'll answer these questions every week in depth and have a link in my navigation bar for new readers or people that may have a question that they are searching for.

Anything goes, I'm pretty much an open book.

And yes, feel free to ask me... "when you do you sleep?"  ... That is my #1 question to date.

  1. Oh, good. Because I'm a very new reader (just a month or so) and I was wondering about your daily/weekly schedule and when you sleep :)

I work full time 8-4:30pm in the medical field and am having baby #2 in July. My kids will be 25 months apart. But both of my kids will be in day care (in home setting for the baby and a center for the 2yo) Just love to see how other Moms do it!

  2. I'm sure we ALL wonder when on earth you sleep! :) What has been the most challenging thing about bringing home baby number two?

  3. I second Chloe's comment....I'm very curious on the challenges of bringing home baby #2.

I have an almost 4 month old and already have baby fever (arg!) and sometimes I think about how it would logistically work with another young kiddo.

  5. I would love to know how a typical (work and non working day) go for you? When do you sleep/clean your house, etc.! As a fellow nurse and new mommy, I'm very curious!!

  6. Before becoming prego with Graham, did you worry about having baby #2 and how it would affect your daughter? Our son is almost two and we are thinking about baby #2, but there is a big part of me that is sad and worried for my little boy and and how a new baby will change his world. Would love to hear what your experience was with this and if you had any feelings like this and if so, how you moved past them.

  8. I also work night shift as a nurse and while our schedule is figured out now we want more babies in our near future so how do you juggle working night shift and two kids while still managing to get some sleep?
Also, When do you find time to get stuff done such as blogging, cleaning your house etc?

  12. After a full day alone with 2 kids under 2 (20mo and ~2mo) I'm often the crankiest person to be around. My poor husband. Any tips on how you keep your spirits up despite a lack of sleep? And how do you keep the fun in your relationship with your hubby?

    Thanks!

  15. Do you turn your blog into a yearly book as a sort of scrapbook? I'd love to do that with my blog, but I have no idea where to turn for that service. Can you send me in the right direction???

    Thanks a million!

  18. I know that you do a lot of the cooking and cleaning around the house, I was wondering what "chores" your husband is in charge of and how you split the household responsibilities?

I have an almost 15 month old and I keep trying to get him to color or do other little crafts and he's not really interested yet, when did Elliana start getting interested in craft/art projects?

How you do you keep track of your budget and bills? i.e. Excel document? A certain App? etc.

  19. When did you know you were ready for baby #2? My son is almost 15 months and baby fever has hit me full swing. I sometimes worry if I'm taking away from his "baby" days by brining home another baby. I am a full-time 9-6 working mom and I wonder about the challenges that lie in raising two babies and being able to provide them both with the same amount of care and love.

Also, would love to see a post about your daily routine. I'm also interested in knowing when you started "school" and crafts with E and some basic tips. Thanks!

  21. What are your favorite toys/products for a four month old?

When did you start introducing solid food with E and what did you start with? Also, favorite products?

Did you ever fly when E was a baby? If so, do you have any advice? We'll be going on a six hour flight in a few weeks and I'm sort of nervous!

By the way, love your blog! I find so much encouragement and inspiration on it! Thanks!

  22. Becky,
I am a mommy to a 17 month old baby girl. I take a lot of pictures of her and would love to make baby books for her. I remembered you mentioned, you were doing bsby books both for Elli and Graham. Do u do them online? If so what do u use. Please dedicate a post to this.

    Thanks
